The league had a long overdue expansion this year and brought on a 13th team, the Golden State Valkyries.

Mitchell has had a tough time in the recent months as her father unfortunately passed away in March of last year. He was a beloved coach at Taft, Ohio State, and then Wilberforce University in Ohio, and tributes started pouring in: “I had never heard from so many people in my life,” Kelsey said.

The 2nd year players will be starting their first season truly playing together after Cardoso was out with injury much of last year. Natisha Hiedeman is a talented back-up point guard. Arike has been on this team for years, but the rest of the cast is completely shook up.

I will be updating this post as the season continues. I’m expecting them to have a half decent season and end up ranked somewhere in the middle of the pack.

With only two out gay players, it might seem like the dream aren’t that gay, but they are certainly going to be fun to watch.
